KINDNESS
Kindness is active, compassionate care that reflects God’s gracious treatment of us in Christ.
Ephesians 4:29–32; Titus 3:4–7
Paul connects compassionate speech and forgiveness to God’s forgiveness in Christ. Titus describes salvation as God’s mercy, not a reward for our righteous works.
UPWARD
Remember a specific way God has shown you mercy. Let gratitude reshape your response to weakness.
OUTWARD
Choose words that build up. Notice someone who is regularly overlooked.
DOWNWARD
Treat shared spaces and resources with care so others are not left carrying the cost of your convenience.
PRACTICE TODAY
Offer practical help with a task, and ask permission rather than assuming what someone needs.
REFLECT
Who receives my impatience most often? What would compassionate honesty sound like?
